1 Year Check Up

Well yesterday we went for McKenzie's 1 year old check up.
23 lbs. 29" long And healthy child.

We did also check on her ear infection: the swelling is down but still a little red but we have 4 more days of medicine so it should be cleared up. She also got shots along with a flu shot. She cried and then held her breath so long that we think she popped some blood vessels under her eyes and on the side of her face by her ear. They also checked blood work and everything looked great! She has really gotten attached to her pacifer so we are trying not to let her have it so often. This should be fun!

McKenzie is walking, she can say Momma, DaDa, Papaw, Nanaw, and JJ. She points to things she wants and will shake her head no when she doen't want it. We are trying to work on words now so she is learning day by day! I will just be glad when she is back to her Happy little self!

Emergency Room

Well Sunday night about 10:20pm we headed to Oxford to the ER. Mckenzie was screaming in pain and no one could calm her. She cried all the way there and once we got checked in she calmed down. She was not feeling well at all. Well we arrived about 11 pm and jeff and I made it home about 4:30am that morning. McKenzie had severe gas from some medicine she was taking and she was just hurting. Since Sunday from about 6pm that night she hasn't run anymore fever. Momma called me yesterday afternoon and said that since 2:30pm on Monday that Mckenzie has been playing and hasn't had any outburst of crying. I am so thankful she is feeling better. She played all night and seems to be doing better. We go to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully her ear infection is improving. She is suppose to get shots too but we will see.

She has spoiled me so much too. she is such a good baby and this is probably the first time that she has really been sick with high fever. I am so blessed. Well Uncle JJ is going to keep Kenzie this afternoon bc mom has to go somewhere today. So I am hoping that they will have a great time together.

Well Friday McKenzie woke up with 103 fever, I took her to her nanaw's to stay and went to work to get a few things done and call the doctor's office to see if I could get an appointment. Well the doctor's office called and had a opening at 10am. So I hustled and tried to get everything taken care of before I left. Once we got to the doc. office her fever was normal, but she did have an ear infection in her right ear. Which we just got off of meds for an ear infection for the left ear. She had some congestion also.

The night was not so good. She ran fever off and on all night. We would sleep for a little bit in the recliner, then on the floor, then in the bed. We woke up about 7am and was running fever again. This has been on going all day. She is finally eating a banana and honey combs.

Uncle JJ is here and she just grins at him. I hate that she is sick bc she doesn't get to see him much. He will be here for this week and head home on Sunday.

I had a party planned for Sunday at the Roller World but had to cancel due to her just not feeling well. We might reschedule but I don't know yet. Once she starts feeling better I will decide. Well I hope that tomorrow I see a big difference in how she is feeling. It just hurts to see her not being her happy little self.

It's My Birthday

Well today McKenzie turned one. It is a sad and also happy time today. As I dropped her off at daycare this morning everyone greeted her with Happy Birthday! Which I sung Happy Birthday to her all the way to daycare so when she heard the words she would just grin. Then on my way to work I just cried and just was pondered on her first year and just how fast it went by.

I went back to daycare around 1:30 today and took cupcakes and took a few pictures on her and all her friends at daycare. Jessica& Emily met me there because I left my camera at home and Jessica had one on her. I will post those pics tomorrow at work.

Nanaw picked McKenzie up and met Papaw at Enid to go to Oxford. Dad had a doctors appointment and that would be the only time he would get to see McKenzie because he had to work late tonight. They went to eat at Captain D's and Mom said she was just a waving at everyone and giving them her silly smile. Also, she ate all of papaw's green beans. Once Nanaw and McKenzie got home we celebrated some more.

I got a balloon and I just loved it.




Then Momma and Daddy got me a tierra to wear on my birthday! Just like a Princess!
